Long story short
There was a talented Artist, Evgeniy Kudinov. He won national Art contests, and soon after, he fell into racial discrimination in Kazakhstan. It's still going on there. You have to be Kazakh to be successful. Many of his friends invited him to move to St Petersburg, Russia to join the Art community and start over. But Evgeniy felt that he could find his way back in Kazakh's Art through his Art Work. He started working with Wood and conventional materials. But nobody could understand his unconventional Art materials at that time in Kazakhstan.
Evgeniy is next to his autoportrait 20 years later.
As if the Time Stood Still For him
His Art career didn't work out very well for Evgeniy. Although, he was living in the world, full of creative Art. The studio apartment he turned into a museum.

If Evgeniy were born in another country, things would work differently.
He has never been to America.
